Jannink Courtyard is part of the Jannink Quarter. This small-scale and sought-after new district is being built just below the centre of Enschede.
It’s a seven-minute walk from the centre of Enschede. On historical grounds: the Jannink Quarter is built in the area where the textile industry used to flourish. Now it will feature a green residential area.

When you think of Enschede, you think of textile. For more than two centuries, fabrics and clothing were manufactured here for the whole of Europe. One of the big names of this industry was Jannink In the nineteenth century the Janninks bought a large piece of land for the expansion of their empire. That’s where the Jannink Quarter is being built now. Around the corner is a national monument: the former Jannink spinning mill.
